Phoebe & Clayton

When I first got contacted by Phoebe about her destination wedding to Charleston, South Carolina, I was so excited. After splitting a pitcher of mimosas with her and Clayton one morning in Athens, I was STOKED. They are the kindest, most joyful and DEEPLY in love couple. From the classic black and whites, to the aisle of grand oaks for a ceremony backdrop, to the rows and rows of candles, their wedding was a dream.

One of my favorite moments of the day was sitting on the grand porch of the Boone home after the ceremony, taking with Clayton while Phoebe was getting her hair put up for the reception. He talked about meeting her for the first time, falling in love with her, and the absolute pride and happiness that he now could call her his wife. It was the purest, most precious moment, and was the best reminder that at the end of the day, aside from the pretty flowers, detailed planning and execution, that at the center of these wedding days is the start of a marriage. Man, we love what we do.
